FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT ELECTROWARMTH® BEDWARMERS
Q: What is the difference between an ElectroWarmth bedwarmer and an electric blanket?
A: An electric blanket is used as a covering, the bedwarmer is used under the bedding. You sleep ON it, not UNDER it. The bedwarmer attaches directly to your mattress and is covered up by your normal bedding. ElectroWarmth bedwarmers are much more energy efficient than an electric blanket because of the way they are used. Your covers hold in the heat that rises from below. The heat from an electric blanket rises from above you and escapes into the room.

Q: My home heating costs are high, will this warmer cost me more for electricity?
A: No. In fact, with an ElectroWarmth bedwarmer, you can turn down the heat in your home during the night and still sleep comfortably. By turning down the heat in your home, you will not only save on heating fuel costs, but your furnace blower, refrigerator and freezer will also run less in a cooler house. This will help reduce power costs. Our free brochure includes a chart showing some examples of annual heating cost savings.

Q: How do I know what size I need?
A: The model number of each warmer indicates its width. The heated portion of all bedwarmers is 60 inches long and covers the portion of your bed from your shoulders to your feet leaving your head area unheated for comfort. The warmer should be chosen properly to fit your mattress. For example the model M38F measures 38 inches wide by 80 inches long, and can be used for a twin sized mattress or on one side of a king-sized split mattress.

Q: What do the bedwarmers look like?
A: The bedwarmers very much resemble a fitted mattress pad. They are made of white material, and are about 1/4 inch thick. The fitted models are like a fitted sheet and have extra cloth at the head of the bed that allows the warmer to cover the entire mattress, and have elasticized corners to hold the warmer in place. The warmers are quilted around the heating wires. This is done in such a way that you do not feel the wires when you are laying on the warmer.

Q: Are ElectroWarmth bedwarmers washable?
A: It is recommended that ElectroWarmth bedwarmers be hand washed. They are electrical devices that can be damaged in a washing machine. Since the bedwarmers are used underneath your bed coverings, there is not much need to clean them on a regular basis.

Q: Are they safe if something is spilled on them (or a child wets the bed)?
A: Yes. The heating element wires within the bedwarmers are shielded. In the case of bed wetting, there is also a cleanliness issue. We recommend covering the bedwarmer with a rubber sheet that can be purchased at stores such as Wal-Mart. The rubber sheet will help keep the bed warmer clean and will reduce the need to clean it regularly.

Q: How does the bedwarmer stay in place under the covers?

A: The fitted bedwarmer is very similar to a fitted sheet in that it covers the entire mattress and is held in place using elasticised corners that reach around the corners of the mattress.

Q: Can I use a bedwarmer on an adjustable bed?
A: Absolutely! The fitted models work very well. In fact, customers using adjustable beds represent one of the largest percentages of bed warmer users.

Q: Does the Comfort Control temperature control make a clicking sound when you change the temperature setting?
A: No. The temperature control is very quiet and transitions smoothly from one temperature setting to another.

Q: What sort of warranty is there?
A: ElectroWarmth bedwarmers come with a full one year guarantee. If anything goes wrong with the bedwarmer during that first year, it will be repaired or replaced with a new one. After the year warranty has expired, low-cost factory-direct service is available if it is ever needed. ElectroWarmth bedwarmers are high quality products and have very few problems. We have customers that have had the same bedwarmer for over 30 years without need for maintenance. Satisfaction is guaranteed.

Q: Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?
A: Yes we do. We have a full 30 day satisfaction guarantee. If during that time you determine that the bedwarmer is not meeting your needs, we will be happy to have you return it. We are confident that once you have a bedwarmer that you will never want to be without it.

Q: Where are the bedwarmers made?
A: ElectroWarmth bedwarmers are manufactured in the United States in the state of Ohio.

Q: In my electric blanket, I can feel the heating wires and they are uncomfortable to me. Are the heating wires in an ElectroWarmth bedwarmer uncomfortable as well?
A: Absolutely Not! The heating wires used in ElectroWarmth bedwarmers are quilted into the padding of the warmer in order to make them undetectable when you are sleeping.

Q: On the website, I saw several testimonials... are they real?
A: Absolutely! Every testimonial we feature on the website was submitted by people that have purchased an ElectroWarmth bedwarmer and was unsolicited.

Q: What do you recommend for young children or elderly people?
A: We recommend that the person using the bedwarmer be able to adjust the temperature control and be able to know what to do if they are too warm. We do not recommend the bed warmer for children under the age of 5.

Q: Can I use a bedwarmer in my camper or trailer?
A: Yes, we have models (T series) that are designed to use the cigarette lighter and come with a 12 volt connector.

Q: I am a Massage Therapist, can I use a bedwarmer on my massage table?
A: We produce a warmer specifically for use by Massage Therapists. This warmer allows the therapist to lower the room temperature for a cooler working environment, while keeping the client comfortable and relaxed.

Q: I have a large mattress (Queen or King) and my partner likes to be cool and I like to be warm. Can you help?
A: Absolutely! Our larger models are available with dual comfort controls. This allows each person to select the temperature they want. If one person would not use their side, you can also use a smaller model such as an M30F for one side of a split Queen, or and M38F for one side of a split King. If you do not have a split mattress Queen or King bed, you can still use a dual-control bed warmer and just turn off the side you don't want to use.

Q: I am a truck driver and I have to keep my engine idling while I sleep in order to stay warm, do you have anything that I can use to stay warm without having to keep my engine going?
A: Yes! Our "T" models where designed with truck drivers in mind. The cord is 10 feet long which gives you plenty of length to reach from the cigarette lighter socket to your bunk. This allows you to sleep comfortably without having to idle your truck. The warmer will pay for itself in just a couple days in fuel savings alone. You will also be cutting down on air pollution from the exhaust fumes from your truck. Our bunk warmers are in use all over the United states by many trucking fleets.

Q: My feet are always cold at night, can you help?
A: Yes, all our fitted bedwarmers heat the lower 60 inches of your bed which keeps your feet and legs comfortably warm all the time.

Q: Is the ElectroWarmth Bedwarmer UL Approved?
A: Yes.
