Electro-Warmth® Bed Warmers were developed over 50 years ago, originally for home use, but now other models are available.
The following describes the two basic types:
- 115V FITTED MODELS These bed warmers are in use all over the United States. They can also be used in RV's if there is a 115V hookup. The quilted pad goes on the mattress just like a fitted sheet (underneath all your other bedding) and plugs into a standard household outlet. It is complete with the automatic Comfort Control. This thermostat adjusts the bed warmth in response to any change in room temperature. Select the warmth you enjoy and it will automatically maintain this comfort level. If the room cools, it responds with just the right amount of heat to keep you comfortable. If the room warms up, it cuts the heat back accordingly.
- 12V T MODELS T models for RV's and trucks come with vehicle lighter socket style plug and are complete with the Comfort Control thermostat for automatic heat regulation. High efficiency (over 95%) makes operation from a battery system practical. Average consumption is only a fraction of generator output.
QUALITY CONSTRUCTION:
- Made from two sheets of fine weave, pre-shrunk poly/cotton cloth quilted together, similar to a high quality mattress pad. The closely quilted seams form tunnels, and hold the heating element wire inside for uniform heat distribution.
- All models are padded with bonded polyester fill, similar to a mattress pad.
- The Comfort Control thermostat uses extra large silver contacts for long life and provides quick response to changes in bedroom temperature for superior heat regulation.
